Job Description

Position Description:  

 

• Provide high quality, real-time research assistance to bankers / consultants in support of client projects. Provide support to Investment Banks, Consulting firms and other financial institutions in data research functions. 
• Perform high quality research including but not limited to the online retrieval of financial information, company fundamentals, and market data as well as performing basic research functions using secondary databases, outside sources and academics. 
• Provide support to the research manager and the team in completing projects on time and in knowledge transfer and training. 
• Attend client calls, interact with clients frequently and communicate feedback to operations team. Carry out quality checks and ensure quality of team. 
• Prepare work instruction manuals and training modules for the teams. 

 

Essential Qualifications: 

 

MBA in Finance / Masters Commerce  or any other degree that is considered suitable to perform the required function

 

Technical Qualifications / Experience (Company Research): 

 

• Technical know-how in MS Office Suite. 
• Good exposure to internet. 
• Knowledge of basic accounting terminology. 
• Good written and oral communication. 
• Knowledge for one or more financial databases required:  Factiva, Thomson Research, Bloomberg, CapitalIQ, Profound, Amadeus, MarketsPro, S&P, Moody's, ISI Emerging Markets, FactSet, Datastream etc

 

Technical Qualifications / Experience (Sector Research):  

 

Technical know-how in MS Office Suite  with a good knowledge of financial databases including at least two or three of the following: Evaluate Pharma, IMS Health , Frost & Sullivan, Episcom, Planet Retail, AC Nielsen, Profound, Financial Venture One, Hypostat, Dealogic, Venture Expert, Airline Monitor, Clarkson's, IJ Online, Transport Intelligence, Comscore, IDC, Gartner, Forrester, WCIS/WBIS, Screen digest, ISuppli, IDC, Gartner and BMI, Euroconstruct, IBIS World, Wood Mackenzie CERA, Platts, CMAI Global, CRU, Group, AME Mineral Economics, InREV, CML, PPR

 

Experience (Sector Research): 

 

3-4 years of experience in Business information service supporting investment banks/ consulting firms with exposure to at least one of the following sectors: Healthcare, Financial Services, Capital Markets, Industrials, Technology, Telecom, Media, Energy, Real Estate

 

Sourcing guidelines (for sourcing partner reference 

 

•        Must have experience into Business Information Services or BIS Research and if experience in Database then its good.

•Max CTC offered:  

L3 -9  Lpa  Exp – 4+ yrs

L4 -11 Lpa  Exp – 5+ yrs

L5 -13 Lpa  Exp – 7+ yrs

•Location:  Chennai (Ok for relocation candidates)

•Shifts: Rotational (will include Night Shift)

•If Ex RRD candidate applies (Before 2 years she or he should have left), then CTC hike will be 15 % on their current ctc only & not market standards.
