Job Description

We are looking for an intelligent and resourceful candidate for our Database Architecture team based in Hyderabad. The team works with multiple technology groups to design, implement and support highly scalable and available data servers that process terabytes of data.

 

What you'll do:

 Leading, coordinating and participating in key process improvements as they relate to the database environment.

 

·Design databases, ensuring high availability, business continuity, scalability, stability, security, performance and reliability to support business applications using MSSQL Server/PostgreSQL/Snowflake

 

· Monitoring, tuning and performance optimization of OS/Storage/DB configuration/databases and related parameters like, table space utilization, CPU utilization, Hard Disk Utilization, Memory utilization, and alert log file for MSSQL Server/PostgreSQL/Snowflake.

 

·Experiment with new technologies to optimize cost/performance·

 Analyze the resource utilization trends and come up with strategy to assure stability and HA of production systems using MSSQL Server/PostgreSQL/Snowflake.

 

·Work with application architects, system engineers, business analysts and others to understand business requirements and design the database accordingly.

·

What you'll need:

• 6-10 years of hands on database administration experience

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Experience implementing and supporting large and performant database systems

• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL database systems

• Performance tuning and query optimization experience using execution plans and performance tuning tools (e.g., Perfmon, Pssdiag, Profiler, Extended Events and DMVs)

• Programming experience (e.g., Powershell, Python, Perl, Java)

• Experience working with cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus

• Experience with Snowflake/Looker is a plus
