Job Description
Position Title: Manager, Development (Java) (Hands-on Technical + People manager role) Cloud experience is mandatory. (who worked on Customer focus teams, Continuous Engineering team)
Summary:
· Extensive experience in IT / Software Industry.
· Experience in working with MNC, and should have handled one or more projects at the same time
· 2+ yrs of people management team management experience. Maintenance & Support projects preferred
· Hands-on experience on Java, Spring, and Hibernate and Databases like SQL Server and Oracle.
· Exposure to JQuery and Javascript frameworks will be a plus
· Good experience in running a team in a Scrum setting
· Ability to manage product delivery in a Scrum model working with various cross functional teams.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Strong software development management background is desired
· Able to work in an Agile/ Scrum model
· Excellent people management skills
Qualification:
·
· Timely delivery of Analytics product offering with excellent quality and technical excellence.
· Experience in leading Analytics Product Development Group. Should have strong experience in handling huge data and statistical modelling techniques.
· Proficiency in data warehouse analysis, design, development & test experience. Preferable experience in a product environment, and should have handled one or more projects at the same time.
· Participate in debugging, troubleshooting, prioritization and fixing of defects
· Delivers high quality service packs to the customers for Analytics product
· Expected to be working hands on 70% of the time.
· Prioritize requirements and always have team working on priorities
· Regularly monitoring the status and taking corrective action
· Timely identification and mitigation of technical and non-technical risks
· Manage/Supervise team of 6-10 experienced software developers
· Help team understanding the work assigned
· Eliminate impediments faced by team
· Timely report the status to superiors and counter parts
· Schedule and attend 1-1 meetings with sub-ordinates
· Motivating, Mentoring and guiding the team to achieve assignments
· Imparting product knowledge to team
· Imparting knowledge on agile/scrum to the team
· Participate in development plan and performance reviews of direct reports
Soft Skills:
· Self motivated, pro-active, initiative to learn and show high levels of creativity and innovation to evangelize new ideas
· Should possess excellent problem solving capability and ability to approach problems in a thoughtful and practical manner
· Must have the ability to drive a plan to completion combined with good written and oral communication.
Sourcing Guidelines: (for sourcing partner reference only)
· Experience Levels to be maintained – 11 to 15 yrs only (max 16yrs, not more than that)
· Technical (80%) and Management (20%) – Candidate needs to be hands-on in coding and technically provide guidance to the team wherever required. Minimum 3 years of management experience is required and will be handling a Team of 8 to 10 Java professionals.
· Mandatory Skill Set – Core Java (Very important), Hibernate, Spring with Cloud Experience. Should have handled a minimum of 2 to 3 sizable projects in Cloud.
· Project Type – Primarily to handle Support & Maintenance projects that include Development & Enhancements.
· Reporting Structure – Will report to the Sr. Manager Development to who in turn reports to the Director.
· Target Companies – SunGard, Verifone, Pine Labs, Sapient, Pitney Bows etc.
· Stability – Candidate Stability is important for profile selection.
· Academics – BE/BTech/MCA (min 60% throughout academics)
· Interview Process – 3 Rounds : 1)Manager Development 2) Sr. Manager Development 3) Business Unit Head. The HR of KRONOS will co-ordinate with candidate as soon as CV is uploaded on CBREX.
· Source Location - Candidates currently based in North India will be given higher preference. Candidates from other locations need to have a strong reason to move to Noida
