    How to handle former colleague who is spoiling my Image?

    Focus on your productivity/Performance and talk to the Sr management along with your reporting manager.


    Focus on Productivity/Performance?

    When a person moves forward there will be hurdles, reason could be anything such as official politics, language or cultural issue(s) but you no need to get distracted.

     

    I would advise you that you do not need to be disappointed with all these things and the kind of atmosphere that is being created in your office. You should separate yourself from rumors and pay attention to your productivity. Don't be disappointed with these kinds of things because when you move upwards you will get such challenges and you don't have to waste your time on all these things.

     

    Let me give you a simple example when a cricketer plays a game and performing well but suddenly thrown out of the game.  in this stage, the player thinks that what Did he made the mistake for which I was removed from the team while my performance was going well?

     

    There was a time when our former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar was criticized for his bad game by the media, colleagues, and fans but, he focused on his game and he did not replied his  detractors by word

     

    He believed that 'I will not speak but my game will speak' and the result of which that the same Sachin Tendulkar who gave India the World Cup without saying anything, and awarded with Bharat Ratna by our former President Pranab Mukherjee.

     

    What would have happened if he had ignored the game and responded to the people?

     

    if did not focus on his game, he could not achieve what he has achieved now.  You can find many examples like this; the gist of this incident is that good players/workers/students do not leave their game/job/study at any cost. They take it as a challenge and they answer these problems in their work efficiently, not by talking or arguing; this kind of ups and down could be in anybody's career but you will need to learn from it and the first step will be that you have faith in yourself


    Have complete confidence in your abilities and have faith in the people who support you and you never let your performance down especially in this type of situation. Now you have to think about your leadership strategy how can you win the heart of your boss, remember, you have to face the situation and not any man.


    You can follow some of the following suggestions below.

     

    1. First, Talk to your manager openly about your achievement feedback and tell them that this kind of rumors it is

    and tell them that this kind of negative behavior makes me disappointed, and tell them that your employees and your customers are very good and happy with your performance.

     

    2. Second, if for some reason you just cannot be interviewed by your manager, then you will have to talk and tell the whole things to you immediate HR manager, request them to talk to senior management, remember, you must involve your reporting manager through proper channel of communication.

     

     

    3. Third point is that you should not let your performance down, especially in this phase when you have got stuck in some official politics, constantly increase your performance, handle negative feedback with patience and talk to the management through proper communication channel.


    Just as a cricketer, answers the problem with your action, you can prove yourself right by your performance which can neutralize each negative feedback. This process is a bit time consuming but it will definitely work and try if some of your old company friends/farmer manager can refer you.



    I'm sure, you will win over this situation and will get out from your adversary who is about you and was spreading rumors will be ashamed of your health work when you will get respect and your performance will increase.
